Prepare first
Use an exercise pen or secure gated area with a bed or open crate, water, safe toys and a separated potty surface. Remove cords, chemicals, plants and anything the puppy could swallow.
The first days
Keep introductions calm, supervise closely and protect rest. Follow Laura’s current feeding instructions and discuss transitions with Laura and your veterinarian.
Veterinary plan
Schedule the first exam, bring health records, confirm microchip details and identify the nearest emergency hospital.
Start as you mean to continue
Establish sleeping, feeding, potty, training and quiet-time routines immediately. Reward calm behavior and prevent unwanted habits from being rehearsed.
