7generations of Meraki / About Time Cane Corsos
A functional Italian mastiff
The Cane Corso was developed as an agile, capable working guardian. Correct type is powerful without becoming clumsy or exaggerated: a substantial, athletic dog able to move efficiently, think clearly and work beside its owner.
Four paths, one standard
We evaluate puppies for the lives in which they are most likely to thrive. Placement is guided by temperament, structure, drive and the realities of each household—not color alone.
- Heritage and show prospects
- Working and protection prospects
- Service-dog prospects
- Stable family companions and guardians
Temperament first
A sound Corso should be observant, confident and naturally protective without indiscriminate aggression. Genetics establish the range of possibility; careful raising, socialization, leadership and continued training help the dog mature into a trustworthy adult.
Proven versatility
Dogs from this program have participated in conformation, obedience, agility, coursing, service work, search and rescue, and protection sports. Their most important role remains the same: living safely and meaningfully with their people.
Heritage and selection
The program was built around carefully selected European and Italian heritage, with attention to health, structure, nerve, trainability and family suitability. Pedigrees are studied as records of inherited possibilities, not simply names on paper.
A breed that asks for commitment
The Cane Corso is not suited to every home. Size, guardian instinct, sensitivity and intelligence require early boundaries, purposeful socialization, daily engagement and an owner willing to lead with clarity and consistency.
